Provide Guest Rooms for Visitors Coming from Far and Wide
|
While the chapel was still in construction, news that there is an Orthodox monastery in this region of the country began spreading rapidly! We have been blessed by visits from clergy, families, young adults, and individuals from numerous states and Canada. We need to be able to provide accommodations on site for our wonderful visitors and those considering the monastic life. |
Landscaping and Development of the Monastery’s Natural Trails
Built on land cleared from a forest, the monastery needs the surrounding grounds seeded for a lawn and prepared for flowers and landscaping. Additionally, the land has natural wooded trails. Plans have been developed to widen the trails, adding icons in kiots for prayer as visitors walk in the beauty of nature. |

Create Rachel’s Garden
As our Holy Church has taught throughout the centuries, every child is precious in the sight of the Lord. Recalling the consolation that He provided to Rachel, who wept for her children (Jeremiah 3:15-17), we 6are creating a garden with an icon of the Lament of Rachel where special prayers can be offered for the innocent victims of abortion and for those whose children have fallen asleep in the Lord. |
