Glen Oak Lecture |
|
| On October 9, 2000 we had the opportunity to do a lecture on Arts and Technology. It was fun. And we all learned a little. | |

| On October 9th, 2000, I was invited to do a
lecture on "Arts and Technology" for an Intro to
Communications class at Glen Oak High School. Many interesting
events took place.
The most humorous event was while leaving. Conveniently dressed this day in my Mentally ill all white outfit, my assistant (Frank Dykstra Jr) and I pretended that he was sane and I was being escorted back to the Insane Asylum. I conjured up a blank look as I walked through the hallway. As we walked along, we were approaching the Hall monitors, armed with their "Columbine" walkie talkies and wondering where I had come from. I maintained my One Flew Over a Cuckoo's Nest look, until just a yard away from the bewildered employees, and suddenly surprised them with a sane look as I turned my face to them and said "Hello!". It was most Amusing. IN all seriousness, the lecture went quite well. Combining lots of talk about Neo Progressive Arts with doing digital businesses (website design & digital camera work). And I hope to return again sometime, or perhaps to other schools.

Yet another strange moment happened when my Nephew Jesse appeared on the wall... and stuck out his tongue at us. Luckily the Hall monitors were busy.... |
