| The Affiliated Artists of Neo
Progressive Arts, were called upon to help judge an art contest
being held at Cedar Elementary School in Canton. The judging took place
at the school on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2001 at 11 AM. The
Artists / Judges were: PR Miller (sculptor, who is having
his own show at the Massillon Museum in July), John P. Rasile, Jr.
(who was last months’ featured artist), Dan Mathewson
("Football Trash" pink statue sculptor), Frank P.
Dykstra, Jr. (Director of Dog Plant, drama group), Janet
Hinton, and Steven Mathewson (Director of Neo
Progressive Arts).
The contest was built around the theme of "Wouldn’t is be strange if…" , and covered 3 areas, Art, Photography, and Literature. Four were chosen out of all the entries to go on to a State Competition that is put on by the PTA, of Ohio Schools. |
